The application is open from August 1 to October 1 each year, with the core course beginning in January.

Fun Fact: In 2024, there were 3,283 University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener Volunteers that gave 195,670 hours of service to their communities, reaching over 147,824 Minnesota residents!
